Well, we made it back from a terrific weekend at Bucky's. Mimi kept Bug on Friday for a while so that Mama could go to work, Daddy could deliver his homemade breakfast burritos to a doctor's office, and Grandpa could go to a meeting. Then Daddy took gumbo to the Ultra office so that everyone could enjoy lunch together. (no, I didn't make the gumbo--we had brought it up from Roussos in Daphne)
Friday night the big folks went out to eat at the Taj Mahal, an Indian restaurant. We were joined by Doctors Agerwal (husband and wife are both MDs). We had a great time with them and especially enjoyed learning about their 3 week engagement 13 years ago. Theirs was an arranged marriage. When a couple in India marries, they marry the whole family. If the wife has trouble with her husband, she doesn't confront him--she calls his mother or father and THEY speak with him. The same goes for the husband. He will call her family. Interference is expected.
Although the company was interesting, the meal left a few of us with tummy aches. Indian food is different, to say the least.
